Jamie and Traci have never forgotten the impact FFA has had on the building of Wayne Trace Farms. Both donate time to the local chapter, and to other chapters in Indiana and Ohio to help develop the next generation of agriculturalists. Traci volunteers as a judge for national FFA Career Development Events (CDE). Jamie provided equipment to the National Ag Mechanics CDE for over 10 years while working for John Deere and currently is a member of the Agronomy CDE committee.
The farm has sponsored at least one Hoagland Youth League Baseball or Tee-Ball team for the last several years, and more than one team in years where sponsorships were lacking. May evenings during spring planting our equipment sits idle to cheer the team on. It has been an honor to sponsor the HYL, the program is outstanding teaching both sportsmanship as well as skill.
Jamie and Traci are both members of the American Society of Agronomy as Certified Crop Advisers (CCA) and Certified Professional Agronomists (CPAg). Traci has held seats as member of both the Indiana and Ohio CCA boards. She has served as the chair of the Ohio CCA board and currently holds the chair of the Indiana CCA board.

Both boys participate in the Adams County 4-H program building projects and showing animals. Traci sits on the Executive Livestock Committee, and both Traci an Jamie sit on the Poultry Committee. The entire family can be found at the fairgrounds every day of the fair showing a variety of animals and supporting fair activities.
Traci takes any opportunity that she can find to teach children about agriculture. Here she is part of a farm field day, for our children's school, sharing about the products raised on the farm. From food and fiber, to industrial materials.
Jamie and Traci chair the Hoagland Area Advancement Association Kiddie Tractor Pull during the Hoagland Days Fair along with Roy and Jennifer Sorg, It continues to be a growing, well supported, fundraiser for the community.
